We start with baker's yeast and cultivate it in stainless-steel fermenters, feeding it simple plant-based sugars like molasses.
Isolation

Our protein begins with a strain of baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), the remarkable microorganism that has been a trusted part of our food system for thousands of years in bread and beverages. Instead of a field, we cultivate our yeast in a pure, controlled environment similar to a craft brewery, feeding it simple nutrients like molasses from sugar beets. This clean fermentation process gives us complete control over quality, ensuring our source is free from the pesticides, heavy metals, and pollutants often found in traditional agriculture.
From there, we transform the whole yeast into a pure protein powder. We use gentle heat and the yeast’s own natural enzymes to unlock the valuable protein from within the cell. Next, a high-speed spinning process carefully separates the pure protein from everything else. I’m quite selective about what I try, because frankly I’m poor AF from medical debt, but I’ve not met that stop me from getting the best.
I’ve survived terminal lung cancer metastasized to the small bowel and it’s zero odds of survival. I’ve put countless hours of work into building my body back from a 60 pound pile of bones with almost complete malnutrition. I’ve studied health (like my life depends on it) for 6 years because I am my own doctor. That’s right, an artist and an acting oncologist. And a nutritionist, respiratory therapist, dietician, lung specialist and cancer treatment coordinator. Necessity is the mother of invention
So when I saw that cow, I thought - need it. I understand the yeast aspect, on a different level and here is a secret not everyone knows - if you ever have to take antibiotics and don’t want GI symptoms try a yeast based probiotic. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to name it, but it starts with an F, and ends with a stor. Even antibiotics don’t kill the yeast-so no antibiotics blues. And that goes for C Diff as well.
So I was captivated by a protein based protein, because I’m dying out here in whey and pea protein. They cause the bloat, to the cramps, to the colonic. Not cute. But as a menopausal wonder now, the gut gets even fussier. As a lifelong IBS sufferer, my gut says noooo, please nooooo!
