Historically, baker's yeast has been a companion in food for millenia. It's also naturally present in the wild-- you eat and breathe it without knowing every day. The reason we've never used yeast as major source for protein before is that the yeast cell wall material is difficult to digest in anything but small quantities.

Today, innovations in food technology allow us to split the yeast cell, remove all the cell material, and isolate the protein-- all using only electricity, filtration, and water. No weird chemicals, no harsh acids. (Which is what whey uses.)

Spacemilk is a protein powder derived from yeast, not yeast itself, and the baker's yeast is destroyed in the process. If you have a yeast sensitivity from a microorganism standpoint, Spacemilk is not adding any microorganisms, yeasts, or probiotics to your body.

If you have a yeast sensitivity from a perceived allergy standpoint, it could be hit or miss. Baker's Yeast itself is not a recognized allergen. Often what causes yeast allergy-type sensitivities are other molds and bacteria which grow in the same conditions as yeast and are present simultaneously, like what can happen in unfiltered beers and fermented foods. That isn't an issue with Spacemilk for both the production and isolation steps, however allergies are a complex issue, and if you have a known problem with products made with/from yeast, please ask your doctor first.
